A practice used in various societies. In whirling you are creating a vortex to be united with the Divine that is in you and not outside of you.
Hadra-Zar ceremony (Wear white clothes). Hadra (in North African) Zar (in the Middle East) is a few still existing ancient healing's ceremonies performed by women for women, originating from Africa; it is still common that women get together to release sadness, pain, frustration and diseases through music and dance. Movement Mentor, Healer and Birth Working momma of 4 beautiful humans. I’ve been in motion since “ Well, you was a lil girl” says my momma & daddy. My passion for movement started around 4yrs old with Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Show Choir and Musical Theater throughout my teenage years. It wasn’t until 2009 that I choose Fusion Belly Dance as my new Love.
Performing throughout Northern Colorado for 10yrs with a professional troupe was one of the highlights of that era! I should also mention the countless hours of Intensives/Workshops that became my version of a Good Time! A safe and ever so welcoming dance community. Oh, that allowed me access to all the OG & ridiculousy talented Dancer’s in the game. Sign me Up!!
In this season of my dance journey I find myself filling my cup guiding multiple Belly Dance Classes weekly. I’m directing a Professional Belly Dance Troupe as well as the Community Coordinator of an amazing inclusive dance collective. It’s my mission to assist others in finding the “Wholeness” I was gifted when I found dance.
