Brittney Laleh Banaei is a mother, artist, educator, and scholar who is passionate about the
liberatory, interdisciplinary potential of movement. Her research interests include dance's
intersection with the political, and as a site for belonging, resistance and reclamation in the
Middle East, specifically Iranian Kurdish communities.
